Casey VanDongen — President and
Development Manager / Email

Casey has many years of experience in the industry, obtaining his journeyman carpentry certificate in 1977.  Starting in the housing industry, Casey was the first Master Builder in Kamloops on the original Home Warranty program. From 1993 to 1997, he worked as a Construction Manager for a developer and gained experience in multifamily, on both private and public sector projects. These days, in addition to public and private developments Casey is responsible for several large complex care communities and is currently leading a P3 project.  Library Square, in Kamloops, consisting of a public library (Gold LEED), commercial space and a 5 storey residential condo complex above.  It is Kamloops’ first Air Space subdivision and the first 6 storey wood building constructed in B.C. , since the concept was introduced to the BC Building Code in 2009.  Casey attends conferences and seminars to stay up to date on trends and industry information.   He recently presented at the BC Building Officials conference in Vancouver.   Casey manages the design, obtain approvals, negotiates financing and expedites construction.


Sheila Minten — Manager & Customer Care/ Email

Sheila started her career in retail management.  Then in 2003 she studied real estate and marketing.  She obtained her real estate license and spent the next several years in real estate first, specializing in first time home buyer sales and then to mobile mortgage brokering.   In 2011 Sheila joined the family business in Kamloops.  In the next few years Sheila focused on expanding the residential portfolio with the development of multi-family mixed use complexes.  She directs the sales and leasing of  condominium units as well as the company’s commercial lease portfolio.  She is currently involved in overseeing the development of a 126 unit mixed residential/commercial building in downtown Kamloops and is always looking for new opportunities to develop.

In 2013 Sheila stepped in as General Manager for Sidney All Care Residence.  During the next 5 years Sheila has turned All Care from its humble beginnings to a thriving 88 care bed community with more than 140 staff.  As Vice President Sheila oversees the day to day operations of the complex care community and has an open door policy with all of her staff.

Community involvement is very important to Sheila and she is an active member of the Kamloops Daybreak Rotary as well as bringing her hands-on leadership style to support such causes such as Alzheimer’s and local community fundraising events and sponsorship.


Amanda Babcock — Controller / Email

Amanda has several years experience in accounting and business management with government and non profit agencies as well as with entrepreneurial businesses.  Amanda has been in leadership roles with business model analysis and project management as well as financial streamlining various government and nonprofit initiatives.  Amanda has prepared and overseen several successful business plans focusing on financial cost control, cash flow and budget creation and monitoring.  Amanda’s experience and education have made her very adept in dealing with regulatory controls, preparation of  financial statements for diverse stakeholders and analysis of budgeting and cost control.


Jodi Hunt — Property Administrator / Email

Jodi has over 6 years’ experience in the Real Estate Industry. Jodi has worked as both an unlicensed assistant and in office administration at a Real Estate office which has given her a unique perspective of the Real Estate Industry. Jodi has also obtained a Legal Assistant Diploma. With her Real Estate experience and her Legal Assistant diploma she has a vast knowledge in a variety of areas.

At Total Concept, Jodi is in charge of the Residential Property Management and Office Administration.
